You know yourself. This feels different.
Does any of this sound familiar?
- You blow up without warning, then spend the rest of the day drowning in guilt.
- You're tired of editing yourself, managing everyone's emotions, and pretending things don't bother you when they absolutely do.
- You've tried the deep breathing, the journaling, the "it's not worth it" pep talks. The pressure never lets up.
- Your relationships are starting to suffer. Is it you? Is it them? You're honestly not sure anymore.
- Your body is changing faster than you can keep up with, and sleep is a distant memory.
- You're realizing that "keeping the peace" isn't the same thing as actually being at peace.
If you nodded along, you're not alone.
And you don't have to white-knuckle this by yourself.

The truth about rage
Maybe your rage isn't the problem.
Rage isn't a character defect or a failure of self-control. It's a built-in alarm that goes off when something important has been crossed. Maybe it's:
- A boundary that's been crossed too many times.
- A need that's gone unmet for too long.
- A truth you've been talking yourself out of.
- A life that fit the woman you were, but not the woman you're becoming.
So the question isn't "How do I get rid of this anger?" It's "What is my anger trying to tell me?"
Yes, hormones matter. So does everything else.
You're not a hormone level. You're a whole woman living a whole life.
Perimenopause and menopause can rewire your sleep, your mood, your nervous system and your capacity for stress. But what's showing up as rage is rarely just hormonal. It's usually hormones plus:
As a certified menopause mental health provider, Jen helps you understand what's happening in your body and work through everything else, so you can meet yourself with compassion instead of criticism.

What becomes possible
On the other side of this work, you…
Pause and choose how to respond, instead of reacting.
Say no without guilt or apology.
Speak to yourself with more kindness, and trust your own wisdom again.
Make decisions with confidence instead of second-guessing.
Build relationships that feel mutual and supportive.
Care for others without forgetting to care for yourself.

Meet your therapist
Hi, I'm Jen. I know this territory firsthand.
Like so many women, I learned early that anger wasn't acceptable. So I focused on being nice. Grateful. Positive. Anything but angry. Then autoimmune disease grabbed hold of me in my late forties, and moving through my own perimenopause forced me to face what I'd been avoiding. The hardest emotion to face? Rage.
Now I help strong, capable women who have it all together on the outside, but are carrying a deep-simmering rage on the inside. I keep a small caseload on purpose, so you'll never feel like a number here.

Questions
Before you book
What happens on the free Spark Call?+
It's a private 15-minute video call with Jen. Think of it as a cosmic coffee date for your soul: no small talk, just real talk. Jen will ask a few questions about what you're experiencing and what you're hoping for, answer yours, and you'll both get a sense of whether it feels like the right fit. You'll leave the call knowing what your rage may be pointing at, and with one small step to try this week. There's no cost and no obligation.
Do you take insurance?+
No. This is a concierge, private-pay practice. That means no insurance company dictating your diagnosis, your treatment or how many sessions you get, and more privacy for you. It also makes extended 80-minute sessions possible. FSA and HSA cards are accepted.
Is this only for anger? What about anxiety?+
Rage is Jen's specialty, but it rarely shows up alone. Many women in perimenopause notice anxiety, overthinking, poor sleep and overwhelm they've never experienced before. Jen works with the whole picture, including anxiety and the bigger midlife questions about identity, relationships and what comes next.
What if my first session doesn't feel right?+
That's covered by Jen's First Session Promise. If your first full session doesn't feel worth it, you don't pay for it. And if Jen isn't the right fit for you, she'll point you to someone who is.
Do I have to come in person?+
No. You can meet in person at Jen's office in Brooklyn, Michigan (Jackson County), or online from anywhere in Michigan. Online sessions are engaging and interactive, nothing like a Zoom staff meeting, and research shows they're just as effective.
Is it just hormones? Shouldn't I see my doctor instead?+
Both can matter. Your doctor can help with the medical side. Therapy helps with everything hormones collide with: years of over-functioning, relationships, boundaries, grief and identity. As a certified menopause mental health provider, Jen understands both sides and can help you sort out what's what.
What if I'm in crisis right now?+
Jen does not provide crisis services. If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For mental health support any time, call or text the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline at 988.
